In the mid-summer of 1946, eight employees of Texas and Pacific (T&P) Railway Company met to organize and found Fort Worth T&P Federal Credit Union to serve the employees of the Railway. It was the mission of our founders to “make more available to people of small means credit for provident purposes,” and it established the institution’s firm foundation of people helping people. And these were not just empty words. The credit union immediately put this mission into action, extending the first two loans just one day after the credit union was founded. Fast forward more than 70 years later, our name has changed to Texas People Federal Credit Union, but our beliefs remain untouched. With a caring and determined staff, we are here to serve your financial needs.
